As the project wrapped up, Grace and I have spent the last week reflecting and putting the final touches on what we have done. We reached out to both the Fort and Durango High School about doing voter registration drives, but unfortunately we never heard back. We are disappointed that the Fort and DHS did not respond, but there is nothing we can do about that.We have now started work on our TED Talk that we will be doing together. We will keep the communication and dialogue if we hear from them in the future. As far as the TED Talk goes, we have found inspiration in spoken word poetry. We are hoping that we can prepare enough to do a bit of spoken word about youth apathy at the beginning to make a statement and grab the audience’s attention. I’m a little worried about having everything I want to say memorized and well thought out, as we will not have note cards to prompt us. I think the TED Talk is a good way to end and bid farewell to this project. As a conclusion and reflection of what we've done I realize that we may not have accomplished as much we wanted, however, because of Grace’s and my passion toward this issue, we will continue to try and make a difference even without the project facilitating it.
